Founder & Principal, Sandmont Natural Capital
Eugene is the founder and principal of Sandmont Natural Capital, an independent sustainable finance advisory focused on advancing natural capital in financial risk and valuation techniques. His climate finance expertise spans carbon markets, physical climate risk pricing, and resilience monetization.
He acts as a Commercial Advisor to Climeworks, supporting the sale of Carbon Dioxide Removal credits in North America; contributed to the Cost of Capital Module formation for PCRAM 2.0; and is a Founding Member of the Climate Bonds Initiative's Resilience Taxonomy Advisory Group. He is also a key architect and co-founder of the UNDRR ARISE Coastal Resilience Scorecard.
Sandmont's physical climate risk work is delivered in partnership with outside firms as needed — including climate data and analytics providers — brought in alongside Sandmont's own financial-appraisal work to run the engineering and hazard-modeling layers a mandate requires.
Eugene is based in Miami, Florida.
